About the ChristoCentric Meditation Group
We are an independent group of Christian disciples, meditators, experiencers, seekers of spiritual truths, and aspiring urban mystics learning, practicing, and experimenting together various meditation systems, using both Western and Eastern spiritual technologies to live purposeful lives in the Spirit. We stumbled upon an inspiration to fuse Lectio Divina and Raja Yoga meditation in the early months of 2024, of what we now call "Christocentric Meditation", for lack of a better term. The two system worked together seemlessly like magic! Due to this, we highly speculate that what we "developed" could just be a "rediscovery" of what could be the original and esoteric form of Lectio Divina that was practiced centuries ago by Christian mystics. What is mainstreamed now in publications could be a watered-down version that is for mass use of the laity, while the original form is for those who undergo strict spiritual disciplines in monastic orders. The desert fathers, as well as the Knights Templar, who brought the mystical tradition to Western Christianity were not fluffy bunnies. They were serious mystics and disciples of the Mystery Traditions. The Raja Yoga technology could already be up their sleeves during those times.
This meditation system is self-help, and there is no need for a guru personality. We disseminate it to add an additional tool to the bucket of practices that the Christian traditions have as a complementary system to advance the spiritual evolution of serious disciples. We also see the potential for it to be a stand-alone practice to achieve Divine Synthesis or Theosis (see our schematics for Divine Synthesis) when all the big Churches waned and faded-away, that is usually termed as the post-Christian era in many literature. Humanity has the penchant for repeating history, even the dark ones. Before the new era of The Christ comes, we might go back to the time when Christians will be in small inconspicuous autonomous groups. Nonetheless, living the life in the Spirit should not be snuffed out. It has to continue.
ChristoCentric Meditation enables the Indwelling Divinity or the Christ within us to surface through a systematic training of our mind and consciousness. Simply declaring that "G-d is within us" or that "we love G-d" are meaningless until the time it becomes active in our lives. It needs the use of spiritual technology and hard work so their "dormancy" will spring out into activity. Regular meditation work does that. Precious stones, like diamonds, are usually found within ugly rocks; meditation is like the application of friction and fire so that the Diamond in us can be refined, come out and shine. That is why the group seeks to re-emphasize the 1st Great commandment laid out by the Christ, that is oftentimes overshadowed by the 2nd Great commandment in this age of social justice activism. We believe that one cannot truly love and serve humanity ("thy neighbours") without an authentic spiritual experience and the infusion by the Indwelling Divinity or The Christ within. When our personal identity becomes smaller, and Christ becomes bigger in us (fully infused by Christ), then our love for the "least of our brethren" becomes truly active, operational and authentic. It is a natural by-product of a process. We become a beneficent force in society, that is beyond human political ideologies.
